FEATURED SPEAKERS:

      • June 21: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Re-Set: A Regulating Process for All of Us with Dyane Carrere

Have you, your work, and the children you care about been negatively impacted by the pandemic and other stressors/traumas? Are you looking for a cohesive way to improve self-regulation in yourself and others? Would you like the children and young people you support to be more focused, better prepared for learning, and more socially successful? The Re-Set Process is a powerful, structured and yet still flexible way to improve the daily functioning of adults and children in schools and beyond. Based on the neuroscience of stress and trauma, this relational and regulatory practice is being implemented across the country by educators from preschool through secondary settings.
This informative, interactive, and exploratory session will share the many forms of Re-Set available and will encourage participants to ask questions and consider how to apply this practice in their work and personal lives.
      • June 22: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Assistive Technology Self-Advocacy, Tools, and Tricks for Adolescents
        with David Edyburn
Helping adolescents with disabilities use assistive technology in middle school and high school can be challenging given the importance of blending in with peers. As a result, there are often insufficient resources devoted to assistant adolescents in building an AT toolkit for navigating life with a disability. This session will describe practical approaches for using technology, in and outside of school, for accessing and engaging in the general curriculum. Particular emphasis will be placed on transition and self-advocacy strategies. Participants will receive a resource guide of amazing tools and strategies to share with students, parents, and teachers.
      • June 23: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
        Co-Teaching for Inclusive Classrooms
with Julie Causton and Kristie Pretti-Frontczak
Ready to become a new and improved, highly effective, and fun co-teaching partner? In this talk, the speakers will cover everything from co-teaching structures to how to co-plan efficiently. They will help solve the most common challenges that co-teachers face…from creating time to plan to sharing the teaching stage. Get ready to transform your co-teaching experience.

Social Emotional Learning and Its Impact on Equity with Kelly Dolan Sapp
This session will deliver an interactive view of using Social Emotional Learning (SEL) as a level for equity. Participants will be introduced to the foundations of SEL and then being a deep dive into Transformative SEL and how students, teachers, families and community members can use SEL to support their equity work.
