The Arc of Pennsylvania offers a variety of professional certification trainings for anyone else interested employment services, skill development, and inclusive education. See below for a brief description of our various courses and links to register for these courses.
ACRE Training
The Arc of PA’s Making Employment Work: ACRE certification course teaches the fundamental values and skills needed to provide quality supported employment and community participation support services. This is an online course consisting of 3 days of Zoom classes, assignments and a self-guided online portion. Our ACRE training is recognized nationwide. It also fulfills PA’s provider certification requirements for supported employment and community participation support services.

Customized Employment Training – Discovery, Customized Job Development, and Systematic Instruction
The Arc of PA’s Customized Employment certification series consists of 3 courses – Discovery, Customized Job Development, and Systematic Instruction. The Arc of PA has partnered with Marc Gold and Associates to offer these certification courses to providers. Those attending will learn the essential elements of creating unique jobs that are custom made to fit each job seeker’s interests, skills, and needs.

Intentional Teaching
Intentional Teaching is a one day course which teaches a set of data-driven strategies used to teach essential job skills that can be adapted to individuals of all abilities and learning styles.

E-Learning Modules
The Arc of PA offers a series of self-guided online classes for teachers, paraprofessionals, families and school staff. Course topics focus on promoting inclusion in the classroom and how to support students with disabilities. Certificates of completion and Act 48 credits available upon completion.
