Advocacy Day 2026
Advocacy Day 2026 – May 5, 2026
The Arc of Pennsylvania will be holding an Advocacy Day on May 5, 2026 at the State Capital to advocate for state legislative and budget priorities. The day will begin with a press conference which will include speakers from the House and Senate, parents and self-advocates. Following the press conference participants will visit House and Senate members to advocate for issues impacting the IDD community. We hope you will be able to attend this event. It is very important for members of the General Assembly to see we are a unified and powerful voice!
- Material pickup, breakfast, and speakers open 8:30-9:45 AM Room 145 Irvis Office Building. Everyone must still enter through security via the Capitol’s main entrance or the fountain entrance. Access to Irvis is through the East Wing lower level.
- Legislative visits will begin at 9:45 AM for some in the Irvis Office Building.
- Press conference to begin by 10:15 AM, Main Rotunda, and a staging table will be ready in the Main Rotunda to pick up materials for legislative visits at and after this time.
Join us for two helpful virtual informational sessions before the event on April 29th at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. We’ll walk you through the day’s instructions, The Arc’s legislative priority list, and tips on how to connect with legislators and their staff. A Zoom link will be sent once registration closes, but be sure to mark this date on your calendar now!
Registration ends at 5:00PM on April 27, 2026.
