DESCRIPTION:Advocacy Day 2025 – May 6\, 2025\nThe Arc of Pennsylvania will be holding an Advocacy Day on May 6\, 2025 at the State Capital to advocate for state legislative and budget priorities.  The day will begin with a press conference which will include speakers from the House and Senate\, parents and self-advocates.  Following the press conference participants will visit House and Senate members to advocate for issues impacting the IDD community.  We hope you will be able to attend this event.  It is very important for members of the General Assembly to see we are a unified and powerful voice! \n\n8:30-9:00AM – Registration in Capitol Cafeteria\n9:00AM – Press Conference in East Wing\nImmediately following the Press Conference – Scheduled appointments meeting with legislators and/or their staff\n\nWe will host two (2) short virtual training sessions prior to the event on April 29th at 3:00PM and 5:00PM.  During the training we’ll discuss The Arc’s legislative priority list and how to meet with legislators and their staff.  A zoom link will be sent closer to the date to all registrants. \nRegistration ends at 5:00PM on April 27\, 2025.\n
